accadis International School Bad Homburg (accadis ISB) welcomes 197 Preschool children and students to the new school year
Divided into four First Day of School celebrations, 82 new students arrived excitedly on the accadis ISB campus on Friday, 20 August 2021. They will attend Primary Class and Grade 1. Just like in Grades 1 and 2, the Primary year group now also consists of four classes.
Full of anticipation, the new Grade 5 students also met their teachers and future classmates on Monday, 23 August 2021.
From Finland to Mexico, from the USA to South Africa
"We are pleased that 82 school starters are contributing to the international mix of our school," says accadis Bildung Managing Partner, Professor Dr. Christoph Kexel. The accadis ISB newcomers hail from South Africa, Finland, Sweden, Ireland, Poland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, the USA, Germany, the UK, Vietnam, India, Mexico, South Korea, China and Turkey, among other countries. While 70 of the new children will be entering the Primary Class, 12 new students will enter Grade 1. Waiting for them Numerous classmates who have already completed the Primary Class at accadis ISB last year will be waiting for them.
"The fact that we are starting the school year with four classes in the Primary year group reflects the high level of satisfaction with our school," Prof. Dr. Christoph Kexel is pleased to say. "In addition, we are welcoming 60 new students in Grades 2 to 11, as well as 55 children in Preschool."
Colorful school cones and first visit to the classroom
In the school's sports hall, each of the four First Day of School celebrations started with a welcome video, in which accadis ISB students warmly greeted their new classmates with the school's own accadis song.
Following Prof. Dr. Christoph Kexel, the Head of School, Janina Sparks, addressed the new students and their families with celebratory words. During the ceremony, the children enthusiastically received their colorful school cones. Afterwards, the new students discovered their classrooms and had the opportunity to get to know their teachers. At the end of the ceremony, the ISB teachers formed a guard of honour in the playground and bid farewell to the new students with much applause.
Practical water bottles as gifts
On Monday, 23 August 2021, Janina Sparks warmly welcomed the new Grade 5 students to the Secondary School and introduced their new teachers. Before heading to their classrooms, the Secondary School students received #weareaccadisISB water bottles from their teachers. "From the first day of school, we want to help ensure that our students drink enough water to concentrate in their lessons," said Prof. Dr. Christoph Kexel. "The '#weareaccadis logo' also reminds them that they are part of our international accadis family, from Kindergarten to University graduate."
