There is much to discover in space. But it is difficult to get there. accadis ISB turned the tables and instead brought space to Bad Homburg. Grades 2, 3 and 5 explored the solar system and distant galaxies in the Lernarium – a mobile planetarium – in the school's own sports hall.
360-degree view of the universe
Students can hardly get closer to outer space. As they discussed the solar system in class, they were given exciting insights into space in the mobile planetarium.
On 360-degree screens, the sun and the planets of our solar system the students gained many insights. The students observed the stars and planets sitting or lying comfortably on the ground. They were particularly impressed by the power of the sun with its flaming solar storms.
They also asked numerous questions about the Milky Way and the many unknown galaxies and planets.
Diving into the solar system
The Lernarium consists of a large tent, the inner walls of which show an exciting film about outer space via a projector. A special mirror distributes the image over the entire inner tent surface, so that the students are surrounded by the "universe" from all sides. This allows them to immerse themselves in the presentation and experience the solar system in a particularly lively way.
Playfully gaining knowledge
The presentations in the Lernarium are based on the latest technology and captivate the students with their content without being pure entertainment. The contents conveyed are coordinated with the Hessian core curriculum for social sciences and are based on the interdisciplinary competence areas of gaining knowledge, communication and evaluation. The Lernarium focuses on "gaining knowledge" and explains facts that determine our everyday life in a playful and impressive way. Thus the children deal with circumstances they take for granted and discover them from new angles.
