„We are ISB“ – for our interview section we talked with accadis ISB sports teacher Christian Yarussi (CY) about his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, his priorities in teaching and his occupational routine.
Since when have you been part of the accadis ISB team?
CY: I can proudly say I have been working with accadis International School since August 2015. It is a privilege to be part of this amazing school family.
You have been a professional soccer player with Eintracht Frankfurt. What was your most exciting experience with Eintracht Frankfurt?
CY: I have been fortunate enough to have been playing soccer around the world, but Eintracht Frankfurt was special. I had the opportunity to wear “Der Adler” right on my chest. It was an honor. My most exciting experience in Eintracht Frankfurt was my first training session at the stadium. I had the opportunity to play with such amazing soccer players. Lots of emotions and great memories. Finally, my hard work payed me off.
Which position did you play at Eintracht Frankfurt?
CY: Midfielder.
What tasks are part of your occupational routine?
CY: I belong to a fabulous sports team. We all work extremely well together and help each other out every day. What I do? I set up the activities, check the gym, supervise the students and of course, teach sports by having fun.
What elements of your work do you enjoy most?
CY: I really enjoy teaching sport the way that we do. We have always a very positive atmosphere and we show our students that we can do sports by having fun at the same time.
What are your priorities in teaching?
CY: My priority in teaching sports is to provide every student with different abilities with a safe, fun and age-appropriate sport lesson.
What is your favorite sport?
CY: … Let me think a second...Soccer!
What do you think is the main essence in sports – to win, teamwork or helping your body stay healthy?
CY: Our sport team encourages our students to enjoy sports and to have a healthy lifestyle. I can proudly say that in our sport classes, our students have the opportunity to experience both.
