On Friday, 23 August, we welcomed 81 new students and their families on their first day of school. They will attend the Primary Class and Grade 1. Also our new Grade 5 students met their teachers and future classmates on Monday, 26 August full of anticipation.
Colorful "school cones", coffee and cake
In our sports hall, the new Elementary School students listened their music teacher Dr. Stefan Wolkenfeld play the flute and the song that their music teacher Gabrielle Mason performed. She will be taking over one of the Primary Classes.
In addition to words by the Managing Partner Professor Dr. Christoph Kexel, the Head of School Janina Sparks addressed the new students and their families. The curious children then received their colorful school cones. Then they got to know their teachers and each other better in their classrooms. The "big day" ended for our new students and their families with class photos, coffee and cake as well as guided tours around the school grounds.

"Three class groups per Grade" approach from Primary Class to Grade 2
In the Primary Class, 66 children will start their school life during these days. 16 new students will join the Grade 1 groups. Numerous classmates, who have already completed accadis ISB Primary Class and therefore were not enrolled again, will be waiting for them. After Grade 1 has already had three class groups per Grade in the past school year, we are happy to from now on have three classes each from Primary Class up to Grade 2. This symbolizes how strongly we are growing. We also welcome a complete additional Grade 5 class with 22 new students and 24 new students in the other grades as well as 52 new Preschool children.
Colorful water bottles as gifts
Most of the Grade 5 students transferred from accadis ISB Elementary School to accadis ISB Secondary School. Their "new" classmates, who come from other elementary schools in the region, welcomed them warmly. Head of School, Janina Sparks, welcomed them in her speech and introduced their new teachers. Before leaving for their classrooms, the students received #weareaccadisISB bottles from their teachers. From the first day of school, we want to ensure that our students drink enough water in order to be able to focus on their lessons. The "#weareaccadis logo" also reminds them that they are part of our international accadis ISB school community.
