Spiegel Online recently quoted a study by the German Nutrition Society (DGE) saying that higher quality school meals do not cost much more money. Overall the catering situation needs to be arranged on-site in a more appealing manner. The healthy nutrition of our students is of great importance to us. With FPS Catering we rely on a partner who produces healthy and child-friendly meals efficiently and in a manner that preserves nutrients.
Decades of experience in catering
FPS Catering has been providing meals to schools and day-care centers since 1978. FPS Catering was the first company in the Rhine-Main region to receive an EU organic certificate, which allows the company to process organic products. As a regionally based educational institution, we particularly appreciate that our caterer attaches importance to regional products and only purchases food from certified suppliers.
Vegetarian, meat or fish
Our students can choose their favorite meal from a variety of dishes every day. You can choose between a meat or fish menu, a vegetarian menu and an alternative to pork. FPS rounds off all meals with water as a drink and a child-friendly dessert.
For children with food intolerances, FPS Catering offers alternative menus.
Cook & Chill process
FPS cooks the dishes for our students freshly every day in Frankfurt-Fechenheim and cools them down to 3 degrees Celsius immediately afterwards. The caterer then delivers the cooled meals to accadis ISB. Until lunchtime, the FPS staff stores the meals at 3 degrees Celsius in the school kitchen and heats them in gentle combi-steamers just before serving. This preserves the nutrients that are important for children, and we save energy due to the short warm-up times.
Lunch slots for free time
In the light-flooded cafeteria, our students relax during various lunch time slots, which are oriented towards the everyday life of the children. First, the Preschool students eat at their tables with colorful chairs. They are followed by the Primary Class and Grade one students. Grades two to four then enjoy their lunch. Finally, the students of Grades five to twelve sit at comfortable wooden tables in a separate area.
