Students in the Grades three and four explore the universe of Captain Kaos and his companions.

On 26.11.2020 the Frankfurt theater director and children's author Thomas Klischke visited accadis ISB. "Why are you wearing a red cap and a black-and-white striped t-shirt?" or "What inspired you to become an author?" were just some of the questions that burned in the children's minds. During a 3-minute question and answer session, the students were able to gain some insights into the private and professional life of a real-life author, before they were allowed to sit back and with anticipation listen to the stories of Captain Kaos and his crew.

Thomas Klischke slips into various roles

One could almost believe that Thomas Klischke himself experienced the exciting adventures when he slipped into the many different roles. Among them were the Countess Gloria, who granted asylum to the crew of the spaceship A.T.I.R. that had made an emergency landing, General Gräte, the arch-enemy of Captain Kaos, and Fjodor, the crew's animal companion. The detailed illustrations of the stories also delighted the audience and breathed even more life into the story.

Signed postcards as souvenirs

After Thomas Klischke read to the third and fourth graders from Volume 1 and Volume 3 of the Käpt'n Kaos series, he also shared some exciting details from his new book, which is about a boy with a reading and writing disorder who, like the author himself, is a big cinema fan. Finally, there was a gift - each child received a personally signed postcard as a souvenir of a wonderful reading.

Also, Thomas Klischke started his career with a typewriter...

Fun Fact: Thomas Klischke told us that his career as an author started at the age of 10 after he was given a typewriter. This reminds us of the beginnings of the accadis story, which also started with a red typewriter.
