At the end of June, all the employees of the accadis day-care centers (Bilingual Preschool and Kindertagesstätte SÜDCAMPUS) participated in a Pedagogical Day—a day full of values and creativity focused on team building. The varied program offered participants valuable insights for working together and the opportunity to get to know each other better in a creative and relaxed environment.
Focus on Values
The day began with a welcome from Managing Partners Gerda Meinl-Kexel and Prof. Christoph Kexel. Founder Gerda Meinl-Kexel proudly reflected on the company's development: 20 years ago, she opened the first Preschool group in one room with ten children. Today, there are seven groups with 125 children in the accadis Bilingual Preschool and six groups with 111 children in the accadis Kindertagesstätte SÜDCAMPUS. She emphasized the many years of cooperation with numerous specialists who have ensured stability and quality since then.
Johannes Herrmann, a trainer, lecturer, and coach from Frankfurt and regular guest at accadis, then led a workshop. In an inspiring keynote, he discussed the general and specific values of accadis. Participants each brought a personal object that described them well and used it to introduce themselves. This personal touch created an open and trusting atmosphere.
The participants were then divided into five working groups to create collages on the topic of "accadis values." The creative results were briefly presented, promoting a shared understanding and deeper exploration of the accadis values.
Lunch in the Family Bistro
After the intense morning activities, everyone gathered for lunch at the accadis Family Bistro. The delicious food and pleasant atmosphere provided the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas and get to know each other better in a relaxed setting.
Creativity and Relaxation During the Soapstone Workshop
The afternoon was dedicated to creativity and relaxation. In a soapstone workshop with renowned artist Stephan Müller (
http://www.specksteine.de/), participants engaged in hands-on activities. Under his guidance, everyone created their own soapstone piece. In the end, all the stones were put together to form one big piece of art.
Afterwards, the group experienced an inspiring barefoot walk with Johannes Herrmann and received a lecture on stress management. This combination of physical activity and valuable stress management tips was a highlight for many.
Participants brought homemade cakes and snacks to share. The beautiful weather and lively discussions contributed to an all-round successful atmosphere.
Finally, there was an opportunity to visit the stonemason's gallery and admire some of his artwork.
Conclusion: A Day of Community and Inspiration
The Educational Day demonstrated once again the importance of team building in fostering a strong and harmonious community. Joint activities, creative projects, and relaxed sharing not only strengthened relationships but also fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other and the company.
