Throughout the school year 2024 | 2025 an exciting building project will be carried out in cooperation with the city of Bad Homburg: The construction of a second sports hall serving our school and university students as well as local sports groups. Work commenced at the beginning of the summer holidays - completion is scheduled for fall 2025.
Second Sports Hall to be built on stilts
Prof. Dr. Christoph Kexel, Managing Partner of accadis Bildung explains: "The second hall will be built next to the existing sports hall, but on stilts, and will therefore provide a roof for the existing basketball court. We are looking forward to implementing yet another project with the city of Bad Homburg at SÜDCAMPUS."
Multi-purpose Sports Hall with flexible use
The new
hall is planned as a single-field hall with bleacher seating. "This will perfectly
complement the existing hall without bleachers," explains the Mayor of Bad Homburg, Alexander
Hetjes. The hall will be divisible in the middle. "Smaller sports groups
often do not need a complete single-field hall," says Ute Görgen from the
city Sports Office. "Thus, an additional and more flexible use awaits the
school and Bad Homburg clubs.
