accadis is expanding its range of services and opens a day-care center for up to 111 children between the ages of 1 and 6. With a focus on sports, exercise and health, the accadis Kindertagesstätte SÜDCAMPUS (aKS) concept aims to inspire children with the fun of exercise and healthy nutrition at an early age.
On Thursday, 31 August 2023, the municipal facility was officially opened by City Council Chairman Dr. Alfred Etzrodt and City Councilwoman Lucia Lewalter-Schoor. Isabelle Trabandt, Head of aKS, Anke Tena, Project Manager, as well as Gerda Meinl-Kexel and Prof. Christoph Kexel, Managing Partners of accadis Bildung, were also among the guests. The first groups will start on Monday, 4 September, in the new premises at Am Weidenring 48.
accadis ISB concept convinced the decision-makers
This municipal facility will be operated by the accadis International School Bad Homburg gGmbH, following the application to tender at the end of 2022. The concept focusing on sports, exercise and health convinced the decision-makers of the city of Bad Homburg.
There will be accordingly particularly trained specialists at aKS, who work both with the children and the parents.
Capacity for up to 111 chilldren
The new premises at SÜDCAMPUS are designed for up to 111 children - three crèche and three kindergarten groups with a maximum of 12 and 25 children per group, respectively.
Registration runs via the city portal "LITTLE BIRD” and the fee statutes of the city of Bad Homburg apply.
Unique in Germany
accadis ISB is part of the accadis Bildung Group, which also includes the accadis Hochschule (University of Applied Sciences). Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Management and Education as well as doctoral programs are offered. Thus, accadis Bildung offers a unique, family-run educational experience from Preschool via Elementary and Secondary Schools to university degree programs and doctoral studies. With the aKS opening, these services are now being extended by a creche to care for children from one year of age.
With the aKS opening accadis Bildung creates further synergies: aKS is a collaborative partner of accadis Hochschule within the work-study program. The students complete their work experience phases in the day-care center and study “Kindheitspädagogik und mehrsprachige Bildung” or “Soziale Arbeit und Management” at accadis Hochschule.
